TPACK

What is TPACK???
- Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge-
"Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) attempts to identify the nature of knowledge required by teachers for technology integration in their teaching, while addressing the complex, multifaceted and situated nature of teacher knowledge. At the heart of the TPACK framework, is the complex interplay of three primary forms of knowledge: Content (CK), Pedagogy (PK), and Technology (TK).
(Koehler, M. 2011)"

As stated above TPACK involves the: pedagogy, the content and technology knowledge. To me these three things are the main substances for successful teaching practices and outcomes. Incorporating this model into your planning and teaching strategies will engage many different levels of student learning. Including kineasthetic, linguistic, visual, auditory etc. This strategy can include a variety of teaching techniques but allows you to include the finer things in life, like technology- computers, ipods, CD players, cameras, microscopes, projectors, television, etc!!
